Crash 'n' Burn v3.62

Keep in mind that this is a personal script, not to be released to the public, but only downloadable here because I created it. To those whose scripts I borrowed from, this is most particularly aimed at you, for I merely used the features of your scripts that were most beneficial for me and my personal use. I have given you full credit for anything I have even partially taken, so I don't expect to hear any complaints. If anyone happens to discover anything in this file that is not accurate, or a function of the script not performing properly, contact me and I shall do my best to fix it.

Installation

I'm assuming that anyone who cares enough to use my script knows how to use mIRC already, so the only step needed to be taken is to unzip the contents of the zip file, my script, into the directory you are planning to use for my script. This can be your default directory for mIRC, or a copy of it if you would rather not overwrite your previous mIRC settings. If you have any other questions, I prefer that you not ask. However, if my script causes any problems, I would like to know what they are and why!
     Documentation on particular script functions.

Script History

As you can see below, I haven't "released" many versions of my script. Often I get to a nice stopping point and I forget to put together a file for new users, thus no new version. Sorry to have neglected mIRC v5.71, it happens. :-) If you wish to download old copies of mIRC and use old copies of my script to follow my progress (why would anyone want to do that?), then the files are here for you.
    mIRC v5.8
  • 2000.12.06 - v3.62 - added /textoptions commands, enhanced script status screen (press F10).
  • 2000.11.24 - v3.61 - shrunk mp3.mrc to half its size, added many comments to this file.
  • 2000.11.07 - v3.6 - improved text display, highlighting, mp3, and other minor coding snippets.

    mIRC v5.71
  • 2000.07.25 - v3.51/v3.52 - minor changes, nothing significant. zip file never created.

    mIRC v5.7
  • 2000.03.23 - v3.5 - same mp3 functionality, fraction of code, completely rewrote mp3 coding.
  • 2000.02.25 - v3.3 - added FzS decryption, nicklist color coding, small improvements and changes.
  • 2000.02.18 - v3.21 - fixed bug in 3.2 that didn't allow text to be sent to channels.
  • 2000.02.12 - v3.2 - completely rewritten, many big changes and new features.
  • 2000.02.09 - v3.1 - additions, all features working properly with new mIRC.
  • 2000.02.03 - v3.01.b - update for mIRC 5.7, no new features.

    mIRC v5.61
  • 2000.02.01 - v3.01 - minor bugfix (thanks Matt)
  • 2000.01.31 - v3.0 - lots of additions and subtractions, completely rewritten.
  • 1999.12.19 - v2.5 - a few additions and fixes.
  • 1999.09.25 - v2.0.b - update for mIRC v5.61, no new features.

    mIRC v5.6
  • 1999.09.19 - v2.0 - fixes & additions, major change in mp3 functions, completely rewritten.
  • 1999.07.20 - v1.0 - first public release, hence version 1.0.

    mIRC v5.51
  • 1999.05.25 - v0.91 - first shared version of my script - still looked remarkably like ßlôôÐlü§t.

Credits

ßlôôÐlü§t by Fezza - My script was born by editing ßlôôÐlü§t. All of the ßlôôÐlü§t roots of the script have been rewritten completely, and by now it is almost completely gone. I have added so much to what Fezza had created, the original ßlôôÐlü§t code has been massacred so badly, that I had to rename it. At first I only rewrote the code to make the script compatible with newer versions of mIRC, but I quickly realized that I was making so many changes that it needed to be renamed and saved. The code has been altered so much from it's ßlôôÐlü§t roots that one can only recognize the similarities in it's functionality.
I have been searching for ßlôôÐlü§t on the web for years now and cannot find it anywhere. However, I do have ßlôôÐlü§t v4.4 (the final version) in it's untampered state on my site. If anyone knows where I may contact Fezza or find ßlôôÐlü§t on the web, please let me know. Until then, you can still get ßlôôÐlü§t for mIRC v5.41 here:

nMP3 by NipKick - Though I no longer use NipKick's mp3 code, I am keeping the reference in tact. His mp3 script does much more than mine, mainly because he knows more about mp3 coding and his script is made specifically for mp3s. I only use what I want for my purposes, and I don't need a fully functional mp3 script. I never fully used his script anyway.

FzS by }InFuZeD{ - I have borrowed and enhanced }InFuZeD{'s mp3 playlist function. Very little change has been made to what he had originally made, but I added quite a bit. I am not sure where his current script is located, or if it can still be found on the web, so this reference is all I have for you!

/telnet by micr0s - The telnet'ing capabilities of my script were written by an online friend. To my knowledge, there is no web page or updated version to this telnet addon, for he no longer uses mIRC. I believe I have the only surviving version of it. I'm special.

The Future?

I am always working on the script. As long as Khaled keeps releasing new versions of mIRC, and as long as I feel the need to fix or add features to my script, it will be done.
